Illness Policy

  1. If your child is not well enough to fully participate in day care activities, please keep them at home.

  2. If an illness persists more than 5 days, a doctor's note is required, to be sure the illness is no longer contagious before returning to daycare.

Payment Policy

  1. Payment is due no later than 12pm on your child's first day of daycare to allow for processing time. If your payment is received later than 12pm on the first day, a $20 late fee will be applied.

  2. A refundable deposit is required to secure a spot for your child. Your child's spot may be held for two weeks without payment, following which payment for the week is due to maintain your child's spot. If you are leaving Marta's daycare and want to request your deposit back, 2 week's notice is required both verbally and written.

Drop-off & Pick-Up Policy

  1. Due to the small entry space to the daycare, please allow drop-off and pick-up for the family before you before entering.

  2. Drop-off ends at 9:15am to keep the schedule of the day. Breakfast ends at 9:00am. If you will be arriving later than 9:15am, please let Marta know ASAP.

  3. The daycare closes promptly at 4:45pm. If you would like an end-of-day check-in with Marta, please arrive no later than 4:40pm. After two late pickups, a late pickup fee will be applied, and must be paid before your child returns to daycare. Thank you for respecting Marta's time.

  4. If you are running late, please let Marta know ASAP by phone call, as she is not able to respond to texts while caring for children.

  5. If your child will be absent, please let Marta know ASAP by phone call.

Holiday Policy

  1. If a holiday falls on a weekend, the daycare will be closed the following Monday to observe the paid Holiday. The daycare will also close early at 3pm the Friday before to allow time for travel. Paid Holidays include: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples' Day, Thanksgiving Day.

Vaccination & Appointment Policy

  1. Vermont requires daycares to keep updated records of children's vaccinations. Please provide these records to Marta.

  2. Please try to make appointments outside of naptime (1:00-3:00pm). This helps to not disrupt children's sleep.

  3. If your child is receiving vaccinations for the first time, please keep them home for the rest of the day to monitor their reaction.

Winter Clothes Policy

  1. Snow pants, boots, gloves/mittens, and hats are required every day to attend daycare. If you are unable to provide these items, please talk to Marta.
